Course Objectives: The aim of this class is to explain the theoretical working principles of lasers and to describe the applications and application specific designs of different laser types

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
Successful student will be able to:
1- describe the working principles of lasers, and define light-matter interactions
2- explain different laser types and different modes of operation
3- design a standard solid-state laser cavity
4- understand the physics behind several laser applications and application specific designs.
