Course Objectives: | To teach container terminal system components, terminal operations and operations planning processes. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; -The students learn concepts related to the development of container transport and container transportation. -The students comprehend handling tools and systems in container terminals -The students learn Long-medium-short-term planning. -The students learn ship operations, field operations and hinterland operations. -The students learn operation planning processes. -The students analyze operational planning processes and work flow. -The students learn the factors of the productivity of container handling. -The students define container terminal logistics. -The students analyze the problems encountered in the planning of operations in container terminals. -The students learn and apply optimization techniques used in the planning of operations. |
