Banking and Finance Programme; It is a graduate program in which comprehensive information about banking and capital markets is given. The program makes a significant contribution to the success of both public and private sector exams in the field of finance. The duration of the master's program with thesis, excluding the time spent in scientific preparation, is four semesters, starting from the semester in which the courses related to the program they are enrolled in, regardless of whether they are registered for each semester, and the program is completed in a maximum of six semesters. At the end of four semesters, those who cannot successfully complete the credit courses in the curriculum or cannot fulfill the success conditions/criteria stipulated by the higher education institution within this period; The student who fails in the thesis study or does not defend the thesis within the maximum period is dismissed from the higher education institution. |

In order to apply for a master's program, candidates must have a bachelor's degree and meet other basic program-specific requirements to be determined by the Institute Board. In addition, students applying to thesis programs must have an ALES score of no less than 55 points, as determined by the Institute Board in the score type they are applying for. The foreign language proficiency levels of candidates applying to master's programs conducted in a foreign language are determined according to the results of central foreign language exams accepted by YÖK, international foreign language exams accepted as equivalent by YÖK or ÖSYM, or the University English Proficiency Exam. |
The master's program with thesis consists of a total of 24 credits and 120 ECTS. Students must be successful in 8 courses consisting of compulsory and elective courses in the curriculum and Thesis 1 - Seminar and Thesis 2 courses. In order to graduate from this program, it is necessary to successfully complete all the courses in the program and to have a weighted grade point average of at least 3.00 out of 4.00. |
Students who will continue their education at Bahçeşehir University may be exempted from the courses they took at their previous educational institution within the framework of certain regulations. If the content of the course taken is compatible with the content of the course given at BAU and is approved by the institute directorate, the student may be exempted from this course. |
Graduates can work in banks and other financial institutions (private or public) related to their fields or take part in consultancy companies. Graduates can also work as an Inspector and Expert in the CMB, BIST, Competition Authority, Central Bank, Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency, Undersecretariat of Treasury, State Planning Agency, State Institute of Statistics and Ministries in the state sector; In the private sector, they can find employment opportunities in the inspector and specialist staff of private banks, in the branches of companies such as finance and accounting. Apart from this, graduates can receive the titles of independent accountant, financial advisor and sworn financial advisor, provided that they pass the necessary stages. |
