Dersin Amacı: Bu dersin amacı doktor adaylarının ikinci dönemlerinde iletişim ve eleştirel teorinin temel kavramlarına ve teorilerine aşina olmalarını sağlamaktır. Ders süresince okunan metinler sosyal bilimler, insani bilimler ve kültürel iletişim çalışmaları alanlarını radikal biçimde dönüştüren metinler arasından seçilir. Temel olarak dil, özne ve iktidar konularını, dilin ne olduğu ve etkisi, öznenin kim ve ne olduğu, nasıl özneleştiği, bu özneleşme süreçlerinin içinde iktidarın etkisinin ne olduğu sorunsalları üzerinde tartışma açılır. Her metin yakın okuma metoduyla analiz edilir ve her metin başka diğer metinlerle birlikte incelenir.

Öğrenme Kazanımları

Bu dersi başarıyla tamamlayabilen öğrenciler;
Adaylar, özellikle iktidar, beden, dil ve iletişim konularında temel kavram bilgilerine ve teorilerin kavrayışlarına sahip olur.

Özellikle 1960 sonrası eleştirel düşüncenin ana akslarını oluşturan temel metinler hakkında yakın okuma yaparak, temel sorunsalları anlayıp, algılama becerisi geliştirirler.

Akademik çalışmaların en önemli prensibi olan literatür taraması ve literatür kavrayışı için gerekli alıştırmaları ders çıktısı olarak üretirler.
