DENTAL PROSTHETICS TECHNOLOGY (TURKISH)


Profile of the Program

The aim of the program is to train qualified technical staff who can assist dentists, carry out laboratory stages, and prepare dental prostheses. To train students who can perform laboratory studies of removable and fixed teeth and jaw prostheses applied to the jaw and face area by adhering to the rules required by professional knowledge on the measurement models and records obtained from the patient according to the treatment method planned by the dentist.

Qualification Awarded

The students who successfully complete the program are awarded the degree of Bachelor of Diş Protez Teknolojisi

Level of Qualification

This is a Associate (Short Cycle) program.

Specific Admission Requirements

Students are accepted through the YKS (Higher Education Institutions Exam) administered by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM).

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

The students who successfully complete the program are awarded the degree of Associate.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Students who are selected by Student Selection and Placement center and who complete their admition process are eligible to attend the school.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates

Students who graduate from this program are awarded with the title of Dental Prosthetic Technician. Our graduates Government hospitals, dental hospitals, universities, public institutions such as hospitals created in the dental laboratory, the private sector started to find a job in a private dental laboratory. They can also work in the dental laboratory can open.

Access to Further Studies

Associate degree graduates who have completed their program are eligible to continue (Emergency Aid and Disaster Management, Health Management and Social Services) 4 year programs which require a national test to be taken and passed.

Program Outcomes

7 Related to the use of dental laboratory equipment, maintenance and simple repairs when necessary.
8 Knows and applies the necessary hygiene rules to protect herself/himself and other employees from cross infection in the laboratory.
9 With dentists and other dental prosthetist can communicate effectively.
