Profile of the Program

The graduate program is designed to provide specialization in various areas that demand expertise in the discipline of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design. Program aims students to gain the skills of scholarly inquiry and research skills required for conducting scientific study and publication. Students are required to complete the mandotory and elective courses chosen according to their areas of interest related to issues of interior architecture. The process that includes thesis research on the subject decided, thesis writing and presentation is guided by student’s advisor.

The students who successfully complete the program are awarded the degree of Bachelor of Interior Architecture

- graduating from the Departments of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Architecture, Industrial Product Design - level of English (70 ÜDS, KPDS) - submission of a portfolio that covers past projects

Recognition of Prior Learning

Graduating from a 4 year undergraduate program in the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design or Architecture or Industrial Product Design, in an institution in Turkey or abroad, which are acknowledged by YÖK.

Program Outcomes

1 Referring to the qualifications gained in the bachelors programs of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Architecture and Industrial Product Design Departments, developing and deepen the these qualifications and knowledge and to follow and built up new theories.
2 Building, researching, analysing and evaluating the results of a problem and relating results with real life situations and practice independently.
3 Knowing scientific research methods and being able to use them in building, researching, analysing and evaluating the results of his/her own study.
4 Comprehending and embracing interdisciplinary design studies and using the knowledge, information and ability of analysis in the various studies in the program
5 Relating and unifiying Interior Design with the knowledge from various disciplines and producing new knowledge and theories.
6 Having a critical perspective in evaluating design studies in general, in Interior Design specifically
7 Reseaching, analysing and evaluating spatial relations and their social dimensions with a critical point of view, and producing new theories.
8 Following the developments in the field of Interior Design and making new and up-to-date researches
9 Being able to communicate his/her own studies with groups within and/or out of the field.
10 Embracing and using the social, scientific and ethic values in the stages of data collection, interpretation and sharing of a study.
11 Being able to follow related literature and developments, and to communicate his/her own stuies written or verbally in at least in one foreign language.
