PUBLIC LAW (TURKISH, PHD)


Profile of the Program

The public law PhD porgram is designed for the successful students who are willing to make independent research, and develop a new point of view to the public law issues. The objectif of the program is to educate public law experts who follow national and international actual subjects, and can analyze them with her theoretical and practical knowledge.

The students who successfully complete the program are awarded the degree of Bachelor of Kamu Hukuku

Specific Admission Requirements

For the Ph.D. Programs students are evaluated that; the score of ALES or International exams like GRE and GMAT which are approved by Higher Education Council (YÖK). By related Graduate School of Social Science (EADB), other criteria deemed appropriate and candidates are announced to students. Candidates that providing the minimum requirements are required to take the written exam. If they are successful, they are entitled to register.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

The students graduating from this program are awarded Ph.D degree in Public Law.

Recognition of Prior Learning

At Bahcesehir University , full-time students can be exempted from some courses within the framework of the related by-laws. If the content of the course previously taken in another institution is equivalent to the course offered at BAU, then the student can be exempted from this course with the approval of the graduate school after the evaluation of the course content.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates

The graduates of this program, besides exercising the regular legal jobs such as lawyer, judge, prosecutor, notary; can also work on other fields like international relations. They can work as an official on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other state institutions and also work as executives in private firms.

3 Analyzes and evaluates the theory and the appication by using the knowledge based on the ideas which are the result of the research and the expertise, and reaches the new and original solutions and ideas.
4 Evaluates and uses the knowledge on the public law with a theoretical and systematic approach.
5 Develops the suggestions on the politics of law.
6 Makes contribution to the public law by preparing scientific articles.
7 Develops new ideas and methods on the public law.
8 Has the ability to use at least one foreign language in her scientific works.
9 Creates theoretical solutions for the solutions of the problems which effect the social life.
10 Propagates the correctness, the justice and the ethical approach.
