| The PhD Program in Economics and Finance aims at educating researchers who will conduct independent research and broaden the frontiers of knowledge in the field of economics and finance. The program equips its graduates with a broad knowledge in economic and financial theory and contemporary techniques required to analyze both economic and financial data. The focus of the program is on creativity and independent research. |

| For the Ph.D. Programs students are evaluated that; the score of ALES or International exams like GRE and GMAT which are approved by Higher Education Council (YÖK). By related Graduate School of Social Science (EADB), other criteria deemed appropriate and candidates are announced to students. Applicants for PhD programs to be admitted with undergraduate degree, grade point average must be at least 3.00, and ALES score must be at least 80. Candidates that providing the minimum requirements are required to take the written exam. If they are successful, they are entitled to register |

| At Bahcesehir University , full-time students can be exempted from some courses within the framework of the related by-laws. If the content of the course previously taken in another institution is equivalent to the course offered at BAU, then the student can be exempted from this course with the approval of the graduate school after the evaluation of the course content. |
