LOGISTIC MANAGEMENT


Profile of the Program

Logistics Management program aims to train the future work force for a highly competitive and challenging field of logistics. Graduates of the program are supposed have strength in foreign language(s), innovation, technology, and multi-disciplineary work ethics.

Qualification Awarded

The students who successfully complete the program are awarded the degree of Bachelor of Administration

Level of Qualification

This is a Bachelor’s Degree (First Cycle) program.

Specific Admission Requirements

Student admission for this undergraduate program is made through university entrance examinations (YGS-LYS) prepared in the framework of the regulations set by Higher Education Council of Turkey (YÖK). International students are accepted to this undergraduate program according to the score of one of the international exams they take such as SAT,ACT etc. or according to their high school diploma score. Exchange student admission is made according to the requirements determined by bilateral agreements signed by BAU and the partner university. Visiting students can enroll for the courses offered in this program upon the confirmation of the related academic unit. Additionally, they need to prove their English language level since the medium of instruction atBAU is English.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

A student is required to have a minimum cumulative grade point average of at least 2.00/4.00 and no failing grades.

Recognition of Prior Learning

At Bahcesehir University , full-time students can be exempted from some courses within the framework of the related by laws. If the content of the course previously taken in another institution is equivalent to the course offered at BAU, then the student can be exempted from this course with the approval of the related faculty/graduate school after the evaluation of the course content.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates

Our graduates may take part in various positions in the Logistics sector; as well as work in the logistics departments of for profit or government organizations.

Access to Further Studies

The students graduating from this program may apply to second cycle (Master's degree) programmes.

Program Outcomes

1 To correctly identify the problems and to be able to ask the correct questions
2 To have the ability for problem solving and to utilize analytical approach in dealing with the problems
3 To be able to identify business processes and use them to increase the productivity in logistics system.
4 To be fully prepared for a graduate study
5 Awareness of the new advancements in Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) and to be able to use them in logistics management effectively. internet and the electronic world
6 To understand the components of logistics as well as the importance of the coordination among these components.
7 To know the necessary ingredients for improving the productivity in business life
8 To think innovatively and creatively in complex situations
9 To act and think both regionally and internationally
10 To understand the demands and particular questions of globalization
11 Aware of the two way interaction between globalization and logistics; as well as to use this interaction for increasing the productivity.
12 To be able to use at least one foreign language both for communication and academic purposes
13 To acquire leadership qualities but also to know how to be a team member
14 To understand the importance of business ethics and to apply business ethics as a principal guide in both business and academic environment
