PHYSIOTHERAPY (TURKISH)


Profile of the Program

Purpose of the Physiotherapy Program; Is to train technical health personnel who will be able to work in all branches that have physiotherapy in health institutions and can assist physiotherapy specialists. Our institution which provides education service in the field of health is aimed to train auxiliary workforce closely following developments in its field, having high communication skills, respectful to ethical values, susceptible to teamwork, problem solving, quick grasp, and environmentally unaffected labor force.

Qualification Awarded

The students who successfully complete the program are awarded the degree of Bachelor of PHYSIOTHERAPY

Level of Qualification

This is a Associate (Short Cycle) program.

Specific Admission Requirements

Students are accepted with YKS (Higher Education Institutions Examination) made by the Student Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM). Candidates who are high school graduates; According to the score they will get from the Basic Proficiency Test of the Higher Education Institutions Examination conducted by ÖSYM, they can be a student in the Programme if they make their preferences in accordance with the Preference Guide published by ÖSYM, provide the base score of the Programme to be determined for that year, are eligible to enroll in the Programme according to the ÖSYM Result Explanation System data and register between the specified dates.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

This program is subject to the fifth stage degree system of 120 ECTS credits in the field of Physiotherapy in higher education. When the program is successfully completed and the program qualifications are met, an Associate Degree in Physiotherapy is awarded.

Recognition of Prior Learning

The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates

Graduates from this program will be the students' Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, which is part of all public and private healthcare organizations the ability to work is available newborn from the adults and the elderly all age groups, physical therapists and physical therapists under the supervision of the required professional physical therapy services can provide. Rehabilitation centers, spa-cure centers, private clinics, sports clubs, nursing homes for health tourism in the hydrotherapy unit can work in hotels.

Access to Further Studies

Graduates who successfully complete their associate degree education can vertically transfer to the universities' "Emergency Aid and Disaster Management, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Nursing and Health Management" undergraduate programs, provided that they have sufficient points in the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).

3 To know the legislation regarding his/her duties, rights and responsibilities and to act in accordance with professional ethical rules
4 To be able to use information and communication technologies on issues related to his/her field and effectively convey his/her professional knowledge through written, verbal and non-verbal communication
5 To be able to follow information in his/her field using a foreign language at a basic level
6 To be able to apply changing techniques and use new tools and devices depending on developing technology
7 To be able to update his/her knowledge, skills and competencies related to his/her field with the awareness of lifelong learning and improve himself/herself personally and professionally
8 To be able to independently carry out a given task using basic knowledge in the field of physiotherapy.
9 To be able to perform all physiotherapy-related applications in accordance with the technique
10 To provide the patient with the necessary information before treatment and prepare him/her appropriately for treatment
11 To be able to use physiotherapy equipment in accordance with their rules and techniques, to be able to control them and to ensure that they work in the most efficient way
