Profile of the Program

Objectives of the program; - To provide the infrastructure that will enable them to specialize in the structure and functioning of energy systems, energy management, energy markets, sustainable energy systems. - To contribute to scientific and technological production by enabling the participants of the program to take part in research and development projects carried out in cooperation with the industry.

The students who successfully complete the program are awarded the degree of Bachelor of Tezli Yüksek Lisans - Master's Degree with Thesis

Specific Admission Requirements

In order to apply for a master's program, candidates must have a bachelor's degree and meet other basic program-specific requirements to be determined by the Institute Board. In addition, students applying to thesis programs must have an ALES score of no less than 55 points, as determined by the Institute Board in the score type they are applying for. The foreign language proficiency levels of candidates applying to master's programs conducted in a foreign language are determined according to the results of central foreign language exams accepted by YÖK, international foreign language exams accepted as equivalent by YÖK or ÖSYM, or the University English Proficiency Exam.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Students who will continue their education at Bahçeşehir University may be exempted from the courses they took at their previous educational institution within the framework of certain regulations. If the content of the course taken is compatible with the content of the course given at BAU and is approved by the institute directorate, the student may be exempted from this course.

Today, due to the ever-increasing need for energy, the need for experts in energy efficiency, energy management, energy production, transmission and distribution, energy markets, energy economics and energy sustainability in the public and private sectors continues to increase. Graduates of Bahçeşehir University Energy Systems Operation and Technologies Master's Program will be able to work in all these areas of expertise.

Students who graduate from this program can apply to study in doctoral programs.

3 To be able to carry out studies related to Energy Systems Engineering independently, take scientific responsibility and evaluate the results obtained from a critical point of view.
4 To be able to present the results of his/her research and projects effectively in written, oral and visual form in accordance with academic standards.
5 To be able to conduct independent research on subjects requiring expertise in Energy Systems Operation and Technology, to develop original thought and to transfer this knowledge to practice.
6 To be able to comprehend the interdisciplinary interactions related to the field of Energy Systems Engineering.
7 Acts in accordance with professional, scientific and ethical values; takes responsibility by considering the social, environmental and ethical impacts of engineering practices.
