Course Objectives: This course aims to provide students readings in a variety of topics within the area of clinical psychology. These topics include professional issues, specific therapies, clinical assessment, and psychopathological syndromes, violence, trauma, culture and psychopathology, ethical matters.

Learning Outputs

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1. Discusses selected articles on clinical psychology related topics.
2. Defines the contribution of clinical psychology and related research for deeper understanding of human psyche.
3. Synthesize new and promising research and work areas related with clinical psychology.
4. Compares literature findings.

Course Content

Clinical assessment issues, being a clinical psychologist, contemporary Clinical Psychology, psychoanalytic training, movement of psychosomatics, health psychology, health psychology research, trauma in psychoanalytic theory, trauma research, models of psychotherapy, brief psychotherapy and psychodynamic model, culture and psychopathology, ethical dilemmas in clinical psychology will be discussed in this course.
