Course Objectives: The course aims to bring the student to a professional level.

Learning Outputs

The students who have succeeded in this course;
- Identify the functional requirements of a product system.
- Identify relationships between sub-systems.
- Identify the desing criteria of a complex system.
- Apply a critical-intellectual approach to his/her design.
- Generate a personal design language.
- Develope the product on conceptual level.
- Develope the product on a high produceability level.
- Represent the final work in CAD environment and in model.
- Review own skills and abilities in support of future employment or self employment
- Investigate business structures, legal frameworks and legislation to construct a business plan
- Develop material to support future employment or self-employment
- Present own skills, abilities and work to an employer or client.

Course Content

This class revolves around a single project that requires students to work through all phases of product design. Focus is on establishing design methodology and actual product development.
