Basic information

Language of instruction: En
Type of course: Must Course
Course Level: Bachelor
Mode of Delivery: Face to face
Course Coordinator : Dr. Öğr. Üyesi BİLGEN MANZAKOĞLU
Course Lecturer(s): Prof. Dr. HAMİDE ELÇİN TEZEL
Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to teach the students 3D modelling through a 3D modelling program called Rhinoceros. Achiving this makes it easier to evaluate and evolve the designs of the students.

Learning Outputs

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1- The designs of the students can be modelled by Rhinoceros, an easy to use 3d modelling program.
2- To be able to see the design in 3D make it easier to specify the elements that will interact with the design. That makes it easier to evaluate and evolve it.
3- To be able to manufacture the design with the model in Rhinoceros. (CAM)
4- To be able to analyse the design with the model in Rhinoceros. (CAE)
5- To be able to present the model in a photorealistic render.
6- Discuss the role of CAD in different contexts and its influence on design and manufacturing processes in areas of specialist practice
7- Use 2D and 3D CAD software to produce visualisations and technical drawings
8- Present drawings and renderings, for a given project, produced using CAD software
9- Evaluate the way in which CAD software may integrate into production processes.
