Course Objectives: | This course will evaluate Africa as a strategically important continent by its overall structure, the effects of colonialism to this day on the existing formations. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; Will be able to learn basic issues African politics and current issues. Will be analyzed Africa that has been intensifying recently by comparing 'major and emerging powers’ actions Will be able to identify the domestic and international sources of African region. Will be able to discuss the current issues in African policy. |
Widely observed socioceconomic problems will be analyzed along with positive improvements and the existing security issues and their effects on countries and regions. In addition, the new competition on securing political influence in Africa that has been intensifying recently will be analyzed by comparing major and emerging powers’ actions. It is planned to analyze contemporary weekly developments in Africa in the first weeks of the course. |
