Course Objectives: Ethics should be observed in the practice of law from legislation to execution and execution to judgement. Practice of legal ethics starts with the education of law. The main objective of the course is to educate the students with ethical rules and principles in order to achieve ethical legislation and execution in the practice. Thus equip the young lawyers with the concept of justice as the ultimate goal of law.

Learning Outputs

The students who have succeeded in this course;
I. Examines legal ethics in Anglo-Saxon countries where the importance of the subject has been escalated with the Watergate Scandal (1972).
II. Evaluates the role of legal ethics in the practice of law where it is needed most. Examines the Attorney’s Professional Conduct in this context.
III. Evaluates the influence of the legal ethics on the education of law and the applications in developed countries.
IV. Discusses the relation between the legal ethics and the principle of justice and equality and the relation between the concepts of justice and ethics and the principle of equality.
V. Examines the close relation of legal ethics and philosophy of law. Evaluates the roles of philosophy of law and legal ethics on achieving the justice, ultimate goal of law.
