Course Objectives: The main objective of the course is to understand the unique issues that arise in international contracts. We will discuss the different sources of law around the world, considering the differences between civil, common, socialist and Islamic legal systems and the effects this will have on an international contract. We will finish with a standard international contract, FIDIC, and analyze this contract through a hypothetical case study.
