Course Objectives: MIM5001 Tasarım Stüdyosu 1 is a project in the way leading to a master's degree and the studio process is also designed in the structure of a thesis work. The course aims to discuss a small scale design problem with a concentrated high density academic and theoretical approach and built a proposal around the discussion.

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1. To independently formulate a design problem and initiates a discussion
2. To predicts the outcomes of the design problem statement
3. To questions and revises a theoretical structure offered by the student
4. To constructs a small theory of design
5. To displays an ethical academic and professional practice

Course Content

Students are allowed and expected to formulate their design subject according to their own interests. But for newcomers to the city and for students who does not have a clear idea about how to start, a subject frame is offered.
Young Architects for the Right to the City
The studio proposes to study David Harvey's the Right to The City in context of the Young Architects Program.

15) Portfolio submission Submission Formats : One copy of A3 size Project Portfolio will be printed and binded. A CD of the materials and drawings, together with the pdf of the Project portfolio must be submitted.
