| Course Objectives: | Comprehension of economic life, being understood of economic concepts used in actual life and learning of rationality in economic decision processes. Getting general knowledge about Gross National Product, Money, International Economic Activities, Economic Growth, Economic Thought and Systems |

The students who have succeeded in this course; 1) Define the basic concepts and principles, which are required for economic analysis. 2) Define and interpret the demand and supply functions and the determinants of them. 3) Demonstrate the main effects of the changes in the demand and supply curves in order to analyse the market equilibrium. 4) Analyse the concept of elasticity, its measurement and economic effects. 5) Make analyses by using the approaches of marginal utility approach and indifference curves in order to demonstrate how the consumer equilibrium is achieved. 6) Analyse the concepts of marginal, average and total cost and the relations among them for achieving the firm equilibrium. 7) Interpret the differences between perfect competition and monopoly for classifying the markets. 8) Explain and measure national income, unemployment, inflation and growth. 9) Analyse the emergence and change of the national income equilibrium by the help of diagrams. 10) Explain the concept of multiplier, its measurement, features and limits while the expense items change. 11) Debate the concept of money, its functions, types and systems. 12) Analyse the money demand and supply by way of the equlilibrium of the money market. 13) Analyse the models of AS and AD. 14) Analyse income distribution 15) Define the basic concepts of growth and international economics . |
