Course Objectives: | This is a specialized course on communication networks used in communications engineering. The course aims providing the students some knowledge on fundamental concepts of communication networks and some key architectures. Network trafic modeling will also be covered. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; I. Understand and identify communication networks II. Learn architectures in communication networks. III. Recognize industry standards. |
This course includes fundamental communication network concepts, such as layered architectures, digital transmission, switching, and protocols. Several layers of TCP/IP will be covered. In addition, network trafic models will be discussed. |
