Course Objectives: In this course, it is aimed to teach the basic characteristics of the human body and clothing forms and the methods and techniques used in creating clothing patterns.

Learning Outputs

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1-Classifies the techniques and technologies used in transforming a two-dimensional clothing model into a product.
2-Develops the techniques and processes required for the preparation of patterns of basic clothing models.
3-Produces a simple prototype of the clothing model using the pattern.
4-Develops the ability to consider the technical criteria necessary for clothing designs to be applicable.
5-Implements measurement techniques on body and clothing.

Course Content

Recognizing human body anthropometric measurements, preparing patterns of basic clothing models, and carrying out model application studies on base patterns.

The teaching methods and techniques used in the course are lecture, observation, discussion, implementation and individual study.
