Course Objectives: To ensure that students (i) acquire the technical and legal knowledge about the technical details and regulations on local and worldwide use cases and new technologies built on blockchains, (ii) technically and legally analyse regulations and use cases in line with the universal legal principles and concepts, (iii) build and improve their own legal opinions regarding the expected legal regulations on blockchain and related use cases and technologies, and (iv) eventually will be able to resolve disputes that may be arisen out of blockchain-based use cases.

The students who have succeeded in this course;
The students who have succeeded in this course will:
1. know the technical details, way of working, and information systems structure of blockchain-based applications and technologies, such as, cryptocurrencies, smart contracts, non-fungible tokens, and metaverse.
2. have the legal skills to interpret the technical knowledge they acquired during the course along with legal concepts, rules, principles, and the relevant applicable regulations.
3. be able to build their own independent legal opinions by implementing the relevant legal methodologies when they come across new blockchain-based applications and projects, or to have the legal and technical skill sets that enable them to contribute to drafting the new regulations as a legal scholar or professional.
