Course Objectives: | As globalization is decreasing barriers to entering new markets and increasing the threat of imitation of new products/services, innovation has become a business imperative to sustain competitiveness in international markets. This course aims to introduce challenges and available solutions to formulate and implement a global innovation strategy. The course will mainly focus on the strategic aspects of managing global innovation. The first part of the course will focus on external factors that drive international businesses towards innovation. The second part of the course will cover internal capabilities that foster innovativeness such as leadership, systems and structures. An integral part of the course will be practical exercise sessions where best practices in global innovation will be presented and discussed. |
