Course Objectives: Digital Finance encompasses a large number of financial products bundled with finance related software that enables various forms of customer communication and interaction delivered by Fintech companies Financial institutions have a pioneering role in digitization . Nevertheless , companies taking a part in the same ecosystem also follow the applications of financial institutions to benefit from the developments They revisit their business processes and operational procedures in order to have an operational excellency . Finance solutions designed through the digital platforms enable the companies to have more access to financial resources. In this respect , digital finance has become an area that should be proactively monitored by the companies getting service from the financial institutions . In this course , the new trends in banking and insurance sectors are examined with respect to innovative solutions through digitalization. The basic fintech concepts and digital finance applications are introduced to the students

Learning Outputs

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) The students will have a general knowledge in digitalization efforts of financial institutions.
2) The students will understand the role of fintechs as enablers of digital economy.
3) The students will be able to monitor the developments in digital finance at international scale .
4) The students will get acquainted with some key concepts and terminology used in digital finance .
5) The students will be able to observe the developments in digital finance also from the perspective of companies
