Course Objectives: This course aims to explain the basic concepts of health communication and to provide students with the ability to evaluate and design relevant communication campaigns with an approach appropriate to the interdisciplinary nature of the field.

Learning Outputs

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Learn the concept of health communication
2) Be able to create a social media strategy for the health communication program.
3) Summarize the basic approaches to health and health communication concepts.
4) Learn to design communication campaigns for traditional and digital channels of health communication.
5) Define the target audience processes in health communication.
6) Criticize OTC social responsibility projects.

Course Content

This course aims to develop effective communication strategies in traditional and digital media channels by addressing the concept of health communication in depth. Participants will learn how to create social media strategies for health communication programmes, define target audience processes and design health communication campaigns.

Teaching Methods:

Lecture: Theoretical and practical information will be presented to the students about the weekly topics specified in the syllabus.
Group Work: Students will conduct team work related to predetermined topics.
