Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to give professional knowledge to the dental students about apical resection, preprostethic surgery, orofacial infections,maxillofacial pathology and laser applications.

Learning Outputs

The students who have succeeded in this course;
Upon succesful completion of this course students will be able to;

1-Learn the preprosthetic surgical techniques, their indications and contraindications, also the complications and managements of the preprosthetic surgery
2- Learn how to assess the osteonecrosis and osteomyelitis cases
3- Learn the orofacial infections, maxillary sinus diseases and their treatment modalities.
4- Learn the areas of use of laser in surgery
5- Learn the endodontic surgical techniques their indications and contraindications. Also to learn the complications and managements of the endodontic surgery
6- Learn the principles of differential diagnosis and biopsy techniques in oral cavity
7- Learn the classification and surgical treatment techniques of the cysts and tumors in oral cavity
