Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to give professional knowledge to the dental students about apical resection, preprostethic surgery, orofacial infections,maxillofacial pathology and laser applications. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; Upon succesful completion of this course students will be able to; 1-Learn the preprosthetic surgical techniques, their indications and contraindications, also the complications and managements of the preprosthetic surgery 2- Learn how to assess the osteonecrosis and osteomyelitis cases 3- Learn the orofacial infections, maxillary sinus diseases and their treatment modalities. 4- Learn the areas of use of laser in surgery 5- Learn the endodontic surgical techniques their indications and contraindications. Also to learn the complications and managements of the endodontic surgery 6- Learn the principles of differential diagnosis and biopsy techniques in oral cavity 7- Learn the classification and surgical treatment techniques of the cysts and tumors in oral cavity |
