Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to teach; the medical evaluation of the patient before the surgical procedure, the principles of Oral Surgery discipline, the basics of wound healing, tooth extraction procedures, surgical instruments used, indications, contraindications and complications of tooth extraction, preprosthetic surgery, apical resection, biopsy principles, osteomyelitis, osteoradionecrosis and Mronj.

The students who have succeeded in this course;
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to do the following:
1. To learn the preoperative health evaluation of the patient and to make the necessary consultations
2. To learn the basic principles of oral surgery and wound healing
3. To learn the principles of tooth extraction, surgical instruments used, extraction techniques, indications, contraindications and complications
4. To be informed about the principles of preprosthetic surgery, apical resection and biopsy procedures
5. To be informed about osteomyelitis, osteoradionecrosis and Mronj
