Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to enable students to define healthy periodontal tissues, to distinguish healthy and non-healthy tissues, to know the etiology and pathogenesis of periodontal diseases and to diagnose them clinically. It is also possible to establish the relationship between periodontal disease and systemic disease.

7. Explains periodontal examination and diagnostic criteria
8. Discusses the relationship between periodontal disease and systemic health.

Course Content

In this course, healthy and non-healthy periodontal tissues will be distinguished theoretically with case photographs and x-rays, diseases will be diagnosed and differential diagnoses will be made.
