Course Objectives: | This course aims to teach students the principles of endodontic access cavity preparation, the importance of patency, and mechanical (manual and rotational) preparation of the root canal system |
The students who have succeeded in this course; At the end of this course, the students will be able to: 1. Recognize the tooth morphology. 2. Learn how to use tools, equipment, and materials used in root canal treatment. 3. Isolate the teeth with a rubber dam. 4. Create an endodontic access cavity that can open access cavity in each group of teeth. 5. Prepare the root canal with nickel-titanium files. 6. Disinfect the root canal system. 7. Obturate the root canal system. 8. Perform retreatment procedures. |
