Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to learn the basics of biochemistry, and to learn about the biochemical approaches of dentistry applications at the molecular level. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to do the following. 1. To define basic biochemistry information 2. To explain and describe the digestion of proteins, lipids, nucleic acids and carbohydrates and related pathologies 3. Defines the metabolic pathways in human metabolism that connect carbohydrates, lipids and amino acids and allow these groups to transform into each other, names the hormones that regulate these conversions 4. Name and explain the biochemical processes and special adaptations of the connective tissues. 5. Name and explain biochemical processes that provide oral and dental health. |
