Course Objectives: This course aims to teach students the biology of the dental pulp and periapical tissue diseases, pulpal pain mechanism, root and canal morphology, and anatomical variations, the methods of the treatments within the scope of endodontics, and the materials used during these treatment

At the end of this course, the students will learn:

1. Definition of endodontics, explanation of its scope, and historical development.
2. The root canal anatomy and morphology.
3. Definition of the pulpal innervation and pain mechanism.
4. Definition of the pulp’s response to dental caries.
5. Explanation of the vital pulp treatments.
6. The materials, tools, and equipment used in root canal treatment.
7. Explanation of the stages of root canal treatment.
8. The root canal preparation techniques.
9. The root canal disinfection techniques.
10. The tooth isolation techniques.
11. The post endodontic restorations.
