| Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to teach students different types of fixed dental prosthesis, principles of tooth preparation suitable for the material and restoration to be used, different impression techniques, stages of master cast pouring and mounting them into articulator, conventional and digital manufacturing techniques of restorations |

The students who have succeeded in this course; At the end of the course, you will be able to: 1. Define the principles of tooth preparation, gingival retraction and impression procedures. 2. Distinguish different types of fixed prosthetic restorations that can be applied according to the destruction of teeth. 3. Explain the connectors, the pontic types and their relationship to the alveolar crest. 4. Summarize fixed prosthetic restoration plans that can be established in different partial edentulism scenarios and the criteria under consideration. 5. Sort laboratory production stages of metal-ceramic crown and bridge restorations. 6. Identify the types of cements and the forces of bonding that these materials create with the tooth structures. 7. Explain the differences between digital and conventional manufacturing techniques, their advantages and disadvantages. 8. Express the parameters that should be considered in the selection of shades in prosthetic restorations |
