Course Objectives: The goal of this course is to develop the ability to understand the Western musical forms and to develop the ability to analyze pieces.

The students who have succeeded in this course;
After successfully completed the class, the students:
1-Will able to analyze the concepts like fugue, sonata form, and concerto
2-Will able to analyze the pieces from baroque and classical periods
3- Will able to analyze the pieces formal and harmonically

6) Reviewing of the fugue homeworks
7) Examples of the sonata allegros and analysis. Exposition.
8) Midterm exam
9) Sonata Allegro. Development
10) Sonata, Recapitulation
11) Concerto form
12) Concerto- exposition
