Course Objectives: This course aims to provide students with different perspectives in storytelling for moving images. It is aimed that students experience new and creative methods of the items used for expression in a general framework and in a wide range.

Learning Outputs

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Define the components of storytelling in the film language.
2) Recognize factors affecting the narration
3) Create a visual narrative through application of appropriate principles and production skills.
4) Execute skills to use visual metaphor
5) Define cinematographic, visual and audio elements that can be used to strengthen the narrative
6) Evaluate samples of moving image language
7) Execute skills to create time-based design projects based on concepts and narratives

Course Content

The course includes short applications to strengthen the meaning by using elements such as visual language, film grammar in animation films. These applications will provide new perspectives for the use of metaphor and sound, cinematography, mise-en-scene and fiction, and storytelling.
