Course Objectives: Upon completion of this course, students acquire fundamental information regarding film music production processes and approaches, have knowledge of current digital-based music production technologies, gain a technical and aesthetic perspective on the relationship between cinema and music, and experience issues such as current industry standards and copyrights.

1) gain fundamental information about the history of cinema and music.
2) develop critical music listening and analysis skills.
3) examine the interactive relationships between cinema and music.
4) recognize and experience the pre & post production phases of music composition for cinema.
