Course Objectives: | The goal of this course is to provide dental students the theoretical foundation for dental public health and preventive dentistry. For this purpose, it is aimed to give students the knowledge and ability to use epidemiology method to understand public health and preventive medicine practices, common oral and dental diseases and prevention methods. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to do the following. 1- To define the concepts of health, diseases, infection and prevention 2- To learn Health education and health care 3- To know epidemiological methods and epidemiology of dental diseases 4- To identify dental health education 5- To classify the indices for oral diseases 6- To know school dental health 7- To define preventive dentistry 8- To define ethics in dental health care |
