Course Objectives: | This course aims to teach students all prosthetic tools and equipment used in dental prosthesis technology. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; • Has basic theoretical and applied knowledge, ethical principles and rules about Dental Prosthesis Technology. • Interprets and evaluates data, identifies and analyzes problems, and takes responsibility in studies planned for solutions, using the basic level of knowledge and skills acquired in the field of Dental Prosthesis Technology. • Using the knowledge and skills he has in the field of Dental Prosthesis Technology, he carries out the assigned task independently and works as a team member to solve the unforeseen complex problems encountered in applications and obtains solutions. • Recognizes the tools and equipment used in the field of Dental Prosthesis Technology and follows the technological developments related to them. He/she can express his/her professional ideas orally or in writing to relevant persons and institutions. To be able to follow the national and international agenda about dental prosthesis technology and evaluate its possible results. • Have information about the design and management of the clinic, where he works in the field of Dental Prosthesis Technology, effective working order, occupational health and protection methods and quality management and practice on these issues. • It produces fixed and removable dentures and appliances used in prosthesis and orthodontics, manufactures all kinds of prosthetic and orthodontic appliances in line with the developments in dentistry, and repairs defects in dentures and appliances. • He/she can perform the preparatory procedures in the field of Dental Prosthesis Technology and then knows and applies disinfection and sterilization techniques. |
