Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to provide the concept and knowledge of clinical management and organization during oral and dental health services, as well as to provide the dental assistant the ability to manage and organization of the clinic in oral and dental health services.

Learning Outputs

The students who have succeeded in this course;
Knows and defines what clinic and practice are and their parts.
Knows the definitions of patient records and appointment management related to clinical management.
defines its features.
Knows what clinical assistantance in dentistry treatments.
Gains knowledge about the use and preparation of instruments used in the fields of dentistry.
Knows what sterilization and disinfection is, defines the concepts related to this subject and behaves to due to sterile working conditions.

Course Content

Characteristics of a dental clinic, patient admission protocol, patient appointments, patient safety, healthcare worker safety, sterilization protocol, fixtures-hand tools-consumables, factors that prepare success in the dental clinic patient-health worker relationship, the importance of vocational training in office care and management.
