Course Objectives: The purpose of this course is to explore basic human rights, ethics, and moral values so as to promote and enrich students? moral development. Likewise, the course intends to explore various areas of personal growth to foster students? resilience in order for the students to do so in their future practice with their clients.

Upon completion of this course the student will be able to; Articulate on concepts of ethics, values and virtues,
Discuss basic principles of human rights,
Explains relational ethics and applies them in personal relationships,
Discuss various peaceful ways of conflict resolution,

Course Content

Introduction of the syllabus and the concepts of Articulate on concepts of ethics, values and virtues. Basic principles of human rights. Relational ethics. Peaceful ways of conflict resolution. Major national and global issues. Personal responsibility taking for one?s own well-being. Decision making. Life difficulties and effective coping. Self-esteem. Personal strengths and weaknesses. Coping with change and difficulties. Self-motivation and perseverance in pursuing one's life long goals.
