Course Objectives: The objective of the course is to describe the main components of business process analysis, to give information about the business process in general, functional organizations and processes, re-engineering, process measurements, analysis methods, improvement techniques, the influence of IT on the subject.

Learning Outputs

The students who have succeeded in this course;
- To get the idea of process concept and get a viewpoint throughout process concept
- Analysis of the business processes and define the KPI for improvement of these processes
- To understand the relation of the organizational structures with the business process modeling and analysis
- Usage of IT tools for business process modeling and management

Course Content

- Introduction to Business processes (=processes), analysis and modeling
- Transition from the traditional organizational structures to process based organizations
- Discovering and defining business processes and environment of these processes, process theory and process patterns
- Business process modeling techniques and standarts
- Business process improvement and simulation
- Business process modeling and analysis tools (demo and problem solving)
- Transition to Enterprise Architecture
- Business Process Management Systems and relations with IT
- Business Process Management projects and management of such projects
