Course Objectives: | The course objectives are; - Introducing the Energy Markets and Concepts from different parts of the World examples, - Introducing Turkish Energy Market(s) and their fundamentals, - Defining and Explaining the power and gas trading value chain with details, - Increasing the audiences analatycial skills on several different energy specific issues (both trading and investments), - Increasing the intelligence level of audience on Energy Markets, Trading and Investment Decisions including contracts and law. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; 1) will understand the fundamentals of energy markets 2) will understand the different market models and details of Turkish Energy Markets. 3) will learn the energy value chain and economic aspects. 4) will be capable of understanding the impacts of commercial decisions to operations of the power plants. 5) will have a general idea about reflections of commercial decisions and management of finance of a commercial operational company. 6) will develop a view about investment decisions and contractual implications. |
The course content includes the fundamentals of energy markets and energy trading including the operational examples and details from world examples and Turkish Energy Companies with commercial arms. On the top of that the operations, finance and business development functions are supporting the content. |
