Course Objectives: | The main objective of this course is to equip pre-service teachers with the necessary techniques and methods to teach communicative language skills in an integrated way. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; Students will be able to define how to teach language skills in an integrated way Students will be able to prepare lesson plans in an integrated way especially to teach adolescents or adults. Students will be able to identify how to integrate grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation in an integrated skills lesson plan. Pre-service teachers will be aware of the strategies that the students would need in learning language skills in an integrated way. Pre-service teachers will be able to allow students to engage and experiment with the language they see in a more realistic way. |
Techniques and methods to prepare lesson plans to teach communicative language skills in an integrated way; how to integrate reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in a lesson plan for especially adolescents and adult learners; how to integrate teaching grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, if they are in the course objectives, into the lesson plan. |
