Course Objectives: | This course aims to provide students with more detailed information about linguistics. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; List and explain the true and false beliefs about language. Recognize the importance of examining the use of language in the context of communication. Define and explain pragmatics, discourse analysis, language history, language change, language variants and social linguistics. Define and explain the important concepts in the sub-branches of macro-linguistics. Define and explain the important terms in the sub-branches of macro-linguistics. Identifies examples of important concepts in pragmatics, discourse analysis, language history, language change, language variants and social linguistics by performing data analysis. Pragmatically produces examples from daily life to major concepts in discourse analysis, language history, language change, language variants and social linguistics. |
