Course Objectives: | *learn about the nature of language through the scientific approach of theoretical linguistics. *gain knowledge about the difference between communication and language *learn about the technical meaning of the concept ‘grammar’ *analyze speech sounds as acoustic/ articulatory events vs. mental representations *analyze the internal structure of words and the structure of different sentence types |
