Course Objectives: The main objective of the course is to learn basic concepts and principles of learning, to learn about the factors affecting learning and to learn learning theories and approaches. Additionally this course aims that teacher candidates use their knowledge in order to design effective learning environments and prepare educational materials.

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1. Know the basic concepts related to learning and tells
2. Knows about learning theories and approaches and tells
3. Training activities will benefit from learning theories and approaches to regulation
4. Understand the importance of the use of learning theory and principles and apply them in professional life.

Course Content

The basic principles and concepts of learning, factors affecting learning in early childhood; learning theories and approaches. Behavioral learning theories, cognitive theory, social learning theory and brain-based learning theories; assessing learning theories in terms of mental health, investigating case studies. Teachers' ability to design and plan educational settings for effective learning.
