Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to enable students to gain knowledge and skills about designing, developing and evaluating educational software within the framework of theories and models.

Compares different types of educational software.
Associates learning-teaching theories with educational software.
Design educational software according to a software development process model.
Develops educational software using software development tools.

Course Content

Basic concepts; features of different kinds of software for different learning needs; stages of a software development process; the relationship between software development process and instructional design; software development in accordance with instructional design stages; software scenario development; interface design for software; developed software application, evaluation.
