Course Objectives: The course aims to inform the students on the political structure of the Middle East, within the context of contemporary political developments.

Learning Outputs

The students who have succeeded in this course;

Will be able to identify concepts related to the course.
Will become knowledgeable on the historical process of the
Middle East foreign policy, and become a professional on the impact and place of the Middle East foreign policy on global politics.
Will be able to analyze and evaluate individual countries and regions, combining theoretical and practical knowledge.

Course Content

The course covers issues such as the Arab-Israeli conflict, Iran’s policies and effect on the region, the Syrian crisis, the Arab Spring and its impact, the issue of Iraq, the issue of Lebanon, US policies on the Middle East, the water issue, and Turkish policies on the Middle East.
