Course Objectives: The aim of the course is to define common hand and wrist problems, apply the principles of problem-specific assessment and gain information and skills about prepare individualized treatment program.

Learning Outputs

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1 Understand the anatomy of the hand and wrist.
2. Define the hand and wrist biomechanics and kinesiology.
3. Obtain and summarize common problem in the wrist.
4. Decide on specific evaluation principles hand an wrist
5. Plan individualized treatment programs in the hand and wrist problems.

Course Content

This course contiains functional anatomy of hand, assessment in hand rehabilitation , splints for wrist and hand, exercises for hand and wrist, tendon injuries and rehabilitation, soft tissue injuries and rehabilitation, hand-traumatic problems and rehabilitation of congenital hand anomalies, hand amputation and prosthetic applications, peripheral nerve injuries of hand and entrapment neuropathies, hand burns and rehabilitation, hemiplegic hand rehabilitation, hand rehabilitation of rheumatic diseases and current technological approaches in hand rehabilitation.
