Course Objectives: The main objective of the course is to give vision on the major problems of the international commercial law such as the international contracts, the dispute resolution, the mode of delivery and payment.

I. Define the concept of “International Contract”.
II. Recognize the conflict of law issues in International Commercial Law.
III. Recognize the International Jurisdiction Criterias
IV. Recognize Specific “Types” of Contracts in International Commercial Law.
V. Recognize alternative dispute resolution methods in International Commercial Law.
VI. Recognize specific delivery and payment methods in International Commercial Law.
VII. Recognize specific financial technics in International Commercial Law.
VIII.Analyze the exportation and importation regimes in International Commercial Law.
IX. Recognise the different models of companies in foreign commercial activities.
X. Recognise the International Commercial Associations in general.

Course Content

The course is structured in three parts.

1. First part aims students to understand the framework of the international commercial transactions.
2. Second part will concentrate on the dispute resolution and the payment modalities in International Commerce.
3. The third part will cover the Custom and the importation/exportation regimes, the foreign investment in Turkey.
