Course Objectives: To provide the necessary knowledge and skills in the selection, adjustment and adaptation of hearing aids in children and adults for auditory amplification purposes.

Learning Outputs

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Acquire basic knowledge regarding selection of hearing aids.
2) Acquire knowledge and skills necessary for fitting hearing aids.
3) Acquire knowledge and skills necessary for ear mold preparation.
4) Acquire knowledge and skills necessary for adaptation of hearing aids.

Course Content

Communication disorders and rehabilitation concepts, hearing rehabilitation program, cochlear impaired function in pathology , which can be compensated with the device and is non- cochlear dysfunction, hearing loss , hearing aids indications, hearing aids features and choice of topics, such as problems and hearing requirements of unilateral hearing loss are covered in this course.
